There’s something sacred about sitting across from another mom who understands—without you having to explain every detail of the therapies, appointments, or the exhaustion you carry in both body and soul.

That’s what a GROW Group is.

It’s a place to breathe again. A safe, Christ-centered space where you can be honest about the hard without losing sight of the hope we have in Jesus.

Here in Colorado, we believe that moms raising children with disabilities and special needs hold a unique place in the Kingdom of God. You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are deeply loved and you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

What Is a GROW Group?

GROW Groups are monthly, 90-minute gatherings designed just for moms raising children with disabilities.

They are:
  • Christ-centered – Rooted in the truth of Scripture and the hope of the Gospel.
  • Trauma-informed – Led with sensitivity to the experiences each mom carries.
  • Non-political – We protect our space from political conversation so every woman feels safe.
  • Hospitality-first – Whether you meet in a living room, coffee shop, or church, you’ll be greeted with warmth and open arms.

No preparation needed.
Just come as you are.

How It Works

Browse the Colorado GROW Groups below to find a location and time that works for you.

Register for your chosen group—you’ll receive email and text reminders before each gathering.

Come and exhale.
Let God meet you in community and in His Word.

If you don’t see a group in your city yet, you can join the waitlist or consider starting one.

We’ll help you every step of the way.

Colorado GROW Groups Calendar

This year, we’ll be studying the book of Job—a reminder that even in our hardest seasons, the Lord is near and His hands never slip. We gather in a intimate, welcoming group of women who understand the joys and challenges of caregiving and parenting. There’s no homework… just open Bibles and open hearts. We read, pray, and talk honestly about God’s Word, leaving each time with the steady truth that He sees us, sustains us, and holds us fast.

Michelle O’Neil

Michelle is a nurse, counselor, author, and mom to an adopted daughter with special needs. She’s inspired by her own childhood struggles with mental health diagnoses and went on to study nursing and counseling to help others. When she had her own child with complex medical and developmental needs, she realized how important it was for her and other moms to have a ministry of hope and emotional support. Michelle loves spending time with other special needs moms in small group Bible studies, hiking with her daughter, husband, and dog in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, crocheting, and reading.
